Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that but simply growth, we are happy when we are growing

It’s time to demystify depth oriented therapy. It’s time to reclaim it from the contemporary New Age movement & the exclusionary. This work is not about abstract theory or exclusivity- it is patient-centered, empowering, & accessible to all who seek deeper understanding & meaningful growth.

Healing unfolds in the context of relationship—to our psyche, our bodies, our histories, and those who shaped us.

About Shannon

My work is grounded in psychoanalytic principles but enriched by a holistic, integrative perspective, drawing on psychoanalytic, Jungian, relational, existential, somatic, attachment-based, transpersonal approaches, as well as tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.

I bring several years of experience across diverse behavioral health settings, including work in community mental health, educational settings, psychological assessment, developmental disabilities, and in-patient for adolescents, young adults, and families. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of developmental and emotional processes, the ways relational patterns shape growth, and how social systems influence individual experience. Early in my career, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies in the School of Justice and Social Inquiry with a minor in Psychology at Arizona State University, which strengthened my knowledge of human rights, social justice, and the complex interplay between individuals and the systems they navigate—insights that continue to inform my therapeutic work.

In sessions, I seek to build a trusting, collaborative relationship with patients, offering a safe space to explore attachment styles, emotional patterns, and inner desires. We may engage in dream analysis, active imagination, or somatic practices to bring unconscious material into awareness and integrate insight into lived experience. My desire is to empower patients to recognize and trust their own capacity for growth, resilience, and self-understanding, helping them uncover deeper meaning, enrich their lives, and navigate challenges with confidence.

I am currently in pursuit of my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, continuing to integrate theory, research, and clinical practice in a depth-oriented, transformative way.
